Canadian. 1920s. Oak. Tin dial. Plain sash. 8-day spring driven time and strike movement. Strikes on a helical gong and bell. Paper on inside of backboard. Dial marked, "The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co., Canada" lower edge. Original finish. Dial has some oxidation and toning around the edges with minor loss to paint. This clock was running at the time of cataloguing, but its service history is unknown. From the Skip Kerr Collection. 10.5"H X 15.25"W X 6"D.

The dial is signed in the lower quarter “The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co. Berlin, Canada”. The movement is stamped “Pequegnat Clock Co. Berlin, Ont.”. 6″ x 15.5″ x 11″. Original quarter cut oak case. Double wood columns on either side have cast metal capitals and bases. Uniform craze to the finish on the top, sides and base. The painted metal dial shows evidence of professional touch up around the centre of the dial. The hinge has been re-soldered and is slightly loose. Mechanism complete with correct pendulum assembly and winding key.

Movement stamped, “Pequegnat Clock Co. Berlin, Ont.”. Full paper label lower rear quarter below the door. 6.5″ x 15.5″ x 10.5″. Quarter cut oak case in original finish. The bezel hinge is loose. The rear panel door has a slight warp. Mechanism complete with pendulum assembly and winding key.

Berlin, Canada”. A paper seal is affixed to the paper label sold by “J. Pequegnat & Sons Jewellers Guelph, Ontario.”. 7.5″ x 15″ x 10.75″. Quarter cut oak case has its original finish. The painted metal dial has minor scratches in the lower quarter at the 4 and 8. Mechanism complete with pendulum assembly and winding key.
