This stunning clock is decorated with a theatre mask, ivy vines, morning glories, dancers, and much more. It features gilt metal, bronze, and red and green marble. The chiming clock was manufactured by Deniere of Paris and is model 3226. Measures 10 1/2"W X 16 1/4"H X 8"D. One of the red marble pieces on the left side and the marble at the base of the urn is cracked. The pendulum and bell are missing from the clock. The red marble face is missing the 3 and 9 numerals. Starts up but does not keep proper time over an extended period of time. See Photos.

French fireplace clock from the 19th century, large-sized, impressive and fine made of gilded bronze (ORMOLU) in the Neo-Classical style. Has a marble integrated with bronze base decorated with different motifs (among them weaponry), and stands on four fancy legs designed as lion legs. On the upper part stands the figure of a Roman soldier holding a baby on the seaside. Well-preserved, except for a lack of the hour hand. Functionality not tested, however there is an accompanying key for winding the movement. Base dimensions: 19X50 cm. Height: 69.5 cm.

Description: Up for auction is a very interesting antique mantel clock. This clock incorporates neo-classical stylings, along with a super cool pendulum featuring the head of Medusa. The clock features an hourly chime function. Both the mainspring and the chime wind with the included key. We are unsure of the manufacturer of this clock, as there are very few markings on it. The clock does run, but we do not know the full service history.
