This Welch, Spring and Co's model name is "Cary". It has an 8 day spring driven time and strike movement. It still has its original label on the back. It measures 12 3/8W X 18"H X 6 1/4"D. The rosewood veneer case is in fantastic unrestored condition. It is working, but does not run for long.

A late 19th century E. N. Welch "Cary V P" model shelf clock. 8-day time and strike movement with bell, painted metal dial with Roman numerals. Rosewood case with a scrolled crest over and arched door with stenciled glass flanked by turned columns on a molded base. Paper label on back 70% intact. Older finish with slight wear, restored paint on dial, pin added to top finial, running when cataloged. 20 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $400-600
