A 19th century W. S. Conant shelf clock. 30-hour weight driven Brass time and strike movement with painted wooden dial and Roman numerals. Mahogany case with a molded cornice over a door with clear dial glass and reverse painted lower flanked by four turned columns, molded lower frieze. Paper label 50% intact. Older finish with some wear, minor veneer loss, minor dial wear, running when cataloged. 25 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $100-200

A late 19th century W. S. Conant OGEE shelf clock. 30 hr weight driven time and strike movement with arched plates and painted wood dial. Mahogany case with single long door and original painted lower glass. Paper label 60% intact. Older finish with veneer damage, slight dial wear, tablet flaking. 27 3/4″ high.

A 27″ mahogany and mahogany veneer shelf clock with four turned columns aside the case and an original lower reverse painted tablet with a geometric pattern and a hand painted wood dial, labeled as being manufactured and sold by W. S. Conant, 177 Pearl Street, New York, but very possibly a product of the Silas Terry, with a weight driven clock, a brass clockworks with a rack and snail type strike.

Early French Boulle Style Shelf Clock & Shelf: the time and bell striking movement is not signed. The 12″ dial with porcelain numerals is marked LOTIN A. Paris. The shell covered case has metal inlays and many bronze decorations. In lower front is a dragon drawn cart with a nude female rider and pheonix bird along side. The corners have winged figures. On top is a mask of mercury, on top of that the crown is formed as a Grecian God like figure. The shelf has rams heads, flowers and acanthus leaf decoration.
(Dial has many fractures, some side veneer is missing. Some inlay is loose or missing. Some bronze is fractured. Not tested for running condition. Needs some restoration in general.)
Clock is 43 1/2″ x 21″, the shelf is 16″ x 24″
