A 19th century Seth Thomas Empire shelf clock. 8-day time and strike Lyre shaped movement with a painted metal dial, Roman numerals and "S -T" hands. Rosewood case with molded cornice over a single door with clear dial glass and mirrored lower tablet flanked by turned columns. Paper label 70% intact. Refinished with minor wear, restored dial, paint touch-ups on columns, running when cataloged. 16" high. ESTIMATE $300-500

A mid 19th century Seth Thomas double decker shelf clock. 8-day time and strike brass Lyre movement, (stamped S. Thomas, Plymouth, CT, USA) with a painted wooden dial. Mahogany case with carved crest, two pane upper door with reverse painted tablet flanked by turned columns over a lower door with mirror, stepped base. Old finish with minor damage, repainted tablets, replaced old dial and hands, lacks feet, flaking on dial, not running when cataloged. 35 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $300-400

Mahogany case with a shaped crest, upper dial door and lower door with reverse painted tablet, flanked by turned pilasters on a base with carved paw feet. Older finish with minor damage, restoration to gesso on crown and columns, replaced tablet, running momentarily when cataloged. 37" high. ESTIMATE $200-300
