Seth Thomas City Series – St. Louis. Painted metal dial has a 5.5 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals, some paint loss, open center with brass alarm indicator disc, blued spade hands (rusted); spring driven movement No. 6 ¾, signed – S. Thomas, Thomaston, Conn. U.S.A. has pierced brass plates, count wheel strike on coiled gong, separate bell and spring for alarm strike. Mahogany case with chamfered corners and gilt trim, reverse painted lower tablet with a colorful cluster of roses and leaves. 15.5 in. high x 11.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
