A late 19th century French figural mystery clock by Samuel Marti et Cie, Paris. 8-day spring driven time and strike movement with visible escapement, open pendulum and two-part porcelain dial with Roman numerals. Cast Spelter Classical draped female figure suspends the Gilded gridiron pendulum and stands on a Rouge marble base. Assembled parts, figure refinished, dial hairlines, not running when cataloged. 26 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $600-800

A late 19th century French Slate mantle clock by L. Marti. 8 day spring driven time and strike movement with porcelain dial. Movement marked “L. Marti et Cie”. Classical style Slate case with carved Gilded design and inlaid Verde Marble detail. Some minor case damage. 12″ high.

S. Marti French Slate & Marble Mantel Clock: Black porcelain double sunk dial with gold Roman numerals and visible escapement; slate and red marble case; signed movement; has pendulum and key; very nice case.
Not tested.
(The pendulum suspension needs to be reattached. There are some very minute chips to lower case in the front and one to the back on the top.)
