arched painted dial inscribed "Thomas Voight Philada.", Pennsylvania, 1800-1820, with painted moon dial depicting an American sailing vessel, seconds sweep, brass eight day movement, original saddle board, dial set in very finely figured waisted mahogany case with broken arch pediment with leaf carved urn finials and leafy rosettes, reeded and leaf carved columns and colonettes, exceptionally well carved, 96 x 21 x 11 in.
Note: A noted and highly skilled clockmaker, Thomas Voight was patronized by Thomas Jefferson, who commissioned from him an astronomical tall case clock in 1812 that is now at Monticello.

The piece has a very handsome case with broken arch pediment centered by turned wood finial above simulated moon phase dial having what looks to be the first surface above lower case having a single hinged door which is nicely figured mahogany atop lower case all resting on a French foot. Pennsylvania, early 19th century, arched and painted dial signed "Nicholas LeHuray Jr./Phila", eight day brass movement, seconds sweep, and date aperture, fine figured waisted mahogany case, arched hood with carved finials and rosettes, case with inset fluted quarter columns, ogee bracket feet, with period pendulum, two replacement weights, and winder, 101-3/4 in.

dial signed "Jacob Craft, Shepherd's Town", early 19th century, arched painted dial with floral spandrels, seconds sweep and date aperture, brass eight day movement, bell inscribed "ED Gill Philadelphia", waisted cherry case with pierced broken arch pediment with carved rosettes and diapered central finial plinth, arched case door flanked by chamfered corners, on tall bracket feet, pendulum and two weights, 102 x 19-1/2 x 11 in.
Note: Jacob Craft was a German immigrant who settled in Shepherdstown as early as 1787 and practiced clockmaking until sometime before his death in 1825. Two related clocks by Craft are in Historic Shepherdstown & Museum.
