Label reads, "Preston / The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co. / Kitchener, Canada", reverse. Movement stamped, "Pequegnat Clock Co." Original dial, case with original finish. Retains label on reverse. Canadian. 1920s. Golden oak. 8-day spring driven time only movement. Full paper on reverse. Dial marked, "The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co., Kitchener, Canada" lower edge. Original finish. Slight separation at the mid point of the bezel top and bottom. This clock was running at the time of cataloguing, but its service history is unknown. Pequegnat 2nd Issue “Maple Leaf” Kitchen Clock

The 2nd issue “Maple Leaf” was offered in two distinct styles referred to by collectors as the “Pointed Top” and “Round Top”. This is the “Round Top” example. The dial is signed on the lower quarter “The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co, Berlin, Canada.” Full paper label attached to the upper quarter at the back is marked, “Maple Leaf Kitchen Clock, Eight Day, Half Hour Gong”. Made by, “The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co. Berlin, Canada”. 5″ x 12.5″ x 21.5″. Solid case with Quarter cut oak base. Decorative molding on the 1st quarter. There is a hairline grain split at the right lower quarter that runs 3 inches and can be seen on the interior as well. The paper dial has minor staining. The gold lettraset maple leaf design on the glass is in near perfect condition. Mechanism complete with pendulum assembly and winding key.

Signed “The Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co. Kitchener, Canada” on the lower quarter of the dial. 20″ x 12″ x 4.25″. Refinished case. Outfitted with original, new old stock cardboard dial. Replaced hand screw. Case exhibits 1.75 inch vertical grain spilt 1st quarter top right. 1.75 inch vertical grain split 3rd quarter right side. 1.5 inch horizontal split in grain 3rd quarter left side at the hips.
