German Bracket Clock w/5 Gongs: in an oak case with a 7 1/2″ silvered dial with textured center and brass ornaments around the edge. The movement is simply marked Made in Germany. The 5 heavy cathedral gongs activate every quarter hour.
(The dial shows some wear. A repeat string is on the left side and is not the original string. The case has a dark finish.)

German Winterhalder Hofmeier Mahogany Bracket Clock, Circa 1880, 7 1/2″ arch silvered brass & gilt dial, 8-day, brass gong strike movement, classic English Chippendale style mahogany case with many ormolu decorative elements, a very high quality and fine clock, suitable for a formal setting, excellent condition with a good patina and a couple of minor scrapes, movement recently serviced by a professional. Height 17″, Width 9 1/2″, Depth 7″.

A turn of the century German Bracket clock by Winterhalder & Hoffmeier, Sch(aufhaussen). 8-day time and strike chain driven fusee movement with unusual platform escapement with maintaining power, single strike on the hour and “Bim-bam” hour striking, Brass dial with Silvered chapter ring and Roman numerals. Mahogany case with rounded top and molded Brass door, Brass fretwork on sides and simple molded base. Screw holes in back of case support the attribution that this clock was in the Salon of a British passenger ship that later saw duty as a WWII troop ship. In good running order. Older finish with some wear and minor damage. 12 1/2″ high.

An early 20th century German Bracket clock by Kienzle. 8 day spring driven time and strike movement with Brass dial and quarter hour Westminster chime, with the Kienzle “Winged Wheel” trademark, serial #46403. Arched top Walnut case with a single door with arched beveled glass, applied fluted columns and hand carved detail, on a molded base with turned bun feet. In running order. Good original finish with minor wear. 18 1/2″ high.
