A 19th century French Slate mantle clock by S. Marti et Cie, Paris, retailed by Edouard Marlin, Rue Amelot No. 26 (Paris). 8-day time and strike movement with a two part slate dial w/Arabic numerals and visible escapement. Belgian Slate case with Gold/Brown cast Bronze ornamentation, carved detail with Gilded/Enameled highlights. Minor case wear, replaced finials, running when cataloged. 24 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $600-800
