French Movement Marked GLT (Possibly Guillemet) French Mystery Conical Pendulum Clock, Circa 1885, 5″ incised marble dial, 8-day, brass movement signed “GLT”, red marble with gilt bronze skirt & feet, patinated spelter statue, excellent condition, nicely restored throughout. A very rare and remarkable clock with a beveled glass crystal pendulum that constantly swings to & fro by means of a slight vibration secretly giving an impulse.

French Figural Dore Bronze & Alabaster Conical Pendulum Mystery Clock. Standing bronze classical robed female figure holding an urn in one hand and the pendulum in the other, hanging from a silk thread suspension, figure is unsigned; white alabaster base has dore bronze side mounts & feet. 4 in. gilt metal dial has applied brass Roman hour numerals and gilt spade hands; round brass 8 day spring driven movement signed Japy Freres et Cie., has an half hour strike with a bell, movement has a vertical post connected to a lever at the top of the movement which rotates the pendulum clockwise. Clock is in working condition, figure has a nice dark brown patina and old minor repairs to the front corners of the base. 35 in. high x 18 in. wide x 9.5 in. deep.

French Clock with Top Mounted Pendulum. 4 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, open moon hands, sub seconds dial and brass bezel; the large gridiron pendulum hangs from a knife point suspension on a column mounted on top of the case, the column has an applied eagle over serpent embellishments and flame finial, 2 tone dore bronze and medium brown patina. Typical round French brass spring driven movement has countwheel strike mechanism on a steel bell; in good running condition with no breaks or repairs, unusual form. 25 in. high x 8 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
