A creamy marble body and base, with an elegant cast gilt bronze figure depicting a Neoclassical style female figure, incising images onto an amphora. Roman numerals against ornate repousse clock face, having clock makers name around bezel, and at interior movement and mechanism E GAUTIER & J ALBINET PARIS.

Very nice French white marble mantel clock having column design and clad with gilt bronze throughout. Mechanical movement marked ‘MADE IN FRANCE’ and numbered 5 7 2132. Measures approx. 17″ height x 9″ width x 3 3/4″ depth (43.2cm x 22.8cm x 9.5cm). Total weight approx. 5.85 kilograms.
