A late 19th century French "Lovers on a Swing" mantel clock. 8-day time only visible movement with porcelain chapter ring and Roman numerals, has a Farcot patent swinger escapement with double escape wheel, and cast pendulum with two figures, movement signed, "Chappement Brevete" with Eagle Trademark, serial #65734. Alabaster case with scrolled supports, urn finial with Gilded Brass arms, finials and appliques, painted bosses and lower panel, on scrolled feet. Farcot Miniature French Figural Clock. White marble base has figural gilt brass musical putti on either side of the clock tower, 2 in. porcelain dial has black Arabic hour numbers, pierced gilt hands and signed Farcot, Paris, France; French brass spring driven time only movement has a lever escapement with balance wheel, signed Farcot and numbered 653. Case is in good condition, the clock is not running, the movementÂs main spring does not hold power. 6.5 in. high x 7 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep.

White Alabaster case surmounted by a Classical draped Spelter figure of a Danaides with vase, on a base with Gilded Bronze mounts and incised carvings with Gold inlay, all on flared floriform bracket feet.
