Black open moon hands, enameled dial w/ black Roman hour numerals and minute markers on the chapter ring, sub-dial below for the alarm; signed on the dial J.E. Caldwell & Co. Quality brass movement w/ silvered lever platform escapement, strikes the hour and once on the half hour on a single coiled gong, clock and alarm are in good running condition, movement signed J.E. Caldwell & Co. Philadelphia and CH. Hour, France. All appears to be running, strikes properly and balance has good brisk motion; in original traveling case. 6.5 in. high

French Hour Repeater and Alarm Carriage Clock. Brass case has corner columns, beveled glass on 4 sides and the top, escapement exposed through the top, and repeater button. Black open moon hands, enameled dial w/ black Roman hour numerals, red 5 minute numbers and minute markers on the chapter ring, sub-dial below for the alarm. Quality brass movement w/ silvered lever platform escapement, strikes the hour and once on the half hour on a single coiled gong, in good running condition, though the alarm spring is broken, alarm is not working. 8 in. high x 4 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

Gilt brass case with hinged handle on top, beveled glass on the front, sides, rear door and top exposing the escapement, has a 2 in. porcelain dial signed ÂJ.E. Caldwell & Co. black Roman hour numerals, pierced black hands and sub alarm dial below; brass 8 day spring driven movement has a half hour strike on a blued coiled gong, separate hammer for alarm strike, hour repeater button on top of the case and a platform lever escapement, movement signed ÂJ.E. Caldwell & Co., Phiadelphia & ÂDuverdrey & Bloquel, France, (12) Twelve JewelsÂ. In beautiful condition, running and striking. 5.5 in. high x 3.75 in. wide x 3.25 in. deep.

An oval brass case w/ curved sides and beveled glasses, escapement exposed through the top, and alarm/repeater button. Black spade hour hand, enameled dial w/ black roman numerals and minute markers on the chapter ring and sub-dial below for the alarm; signed on the dial and movement “J.E. Caldwell”. Quality brass movement w/ silvered lever platform escapement, strikes on a single coiled gong. Switch on the bottom of the case for silent, hour and quarter hour strike. All appears to be running, strikes properly and balance has good brisk motion; some tarnish to the case.

French clock made for the Chinese market, has a porcelain dial with 2 in. chapter ring having black Roman hour numerals, sub alarm dial below, open moon hands, sweep seconds hand and signed Hirsbrunner & Co., Shanghai; brass spring driven French movement has lever platform escapement with good balance, rack & snail strike mechanism strikes once on the half hour and then the hour, has a repeater button on top of the case. The brass case has a handle on top, all over engraved design and beveled glass on the front, back, sides and top exposing the escapement. Movement stamped with Chinese markings on the back, case has a worn finish and the time spring is broken. 6 in. high x 4 in. wide x 3.25 in. deep.

Fancy blued hands, metal dial with gilt surface, black Roman hour numerals and markers. The brass case has a fancy handle with turned finials over turned half columns on the beveled corners and beveled glass on the side and top exposing the escapement.
