Black lacquer with floral detail, parcel gilt case with brass finial, shaped pediment top on cabriole base, round dial with gilt bronze bezel and lower aperture, on a contemporary bracket with conforming painted detail, mid 18th century. Clock: 26" high, 14" wide; overall: 35" high. Includes key and pendulum. Not currently running. Old repair to one rear foot, gilt losses to feet, later upper back panel.

Swiss Painted Ivory Desk Clock. 3.5 in. x 2.5 in. painted ivory dial titled LÂEmbarcadere, depicts a pier along a waterway with buildings in the background, the large tower in the back has a functional clock; signed lower right (illegible). The quarter inch tower dial has Roman hour numerals and blued pierced diamond hands with a spring driven movement in good running condition. Has a gilt brass frame with beveled glass and marble base; marked on the back  LÂEmbarcadere, Fab. Suisse and numbered 73260.

first quarter 20th century, in the rococo taste, decorated with flowers on a robin's-egg blue ground, trimmed with giltwood, the door with a pierced brass grille decorated with lilies, supported on a matching shelf.
