A late 19th century French figural upside-down swing clock by Andre Romain Guilmet, Paris. 8-day time only movement in a spherical case hangs from a bi-metallic Gilded Bronze gridiron pendulum, dark Blue sphere with Gold Roman numerals. Patinated Spelter figure of a Classical draped woman suspends the pendulum within a scrolled Brass frame, supported by a Spelter base with Slate insert and paw feet. Case refinished, dial lacks two numerals, running when cataloged. 26 3/4" high.
