Fancy gothic style wrought iron case with pierced, scrolling and twisting designs, mounted rosettes and spherical bronze balls, spiral wrapped finial and crest arch, has a beautiful black original finish with some brown highlights on the bronze pieces. 5.5 in. inset porcelain dial signed “J.W. Benson, Bond St., London” with black Roman hour numerals, open moon hands, exposed Brocot escapement with jeweled pallets, brass door bezel with beveled crystal; round French brass spring driven movement signed with A.B. and 5 point star trademark for Achille Brocot, has an half hour strike on a coiled gong. Lower brass perpetual calendar mechanism signed with Achille Brocot trademark, has a 4 in. porcelain dial with inset moon phase, Mean Time at Noon indicator and sub dial for days, months & 31 dates. Case is in excellent condition with no breaks or repairs, missing pendulum, clock runs, strikes, the calendar is in good working condition with a good dial, time dial has hairlines in the outer ring and is missing the brass collars around the arbor holes. 25.5 in. high x 12 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
