Waterbury Calendar No. 44 Double Dial Shelf Clock w/ Alarm. 6 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, original hands and open center cutout exposing the brass alarm indicator disc; brass 8 day spring driven movement has an half hour count wheel strike mechanism on a coiled gong and separate alarm mechanism with bell. 6 in. lower calendar dial has 31 date numbers, cutout apertures for day and month, signed Waterbury Clock Co. USA; brass perpetual lower calendar mechanism is in good running condition with original brass barrels and original labels. In a walnut case with carved crest, side corbels, and carved door front with rosettes. In good condition, original finish. 24 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

A nice City Series example with fancier than usual original stencil decorated tablet, damascene pendulum, paper dial, finials etc. The finish appears to have been varnished over. Eight day time and strike with alarm. Measures 20.5 x 10.75 x 5 inches.
