Gilbert ÂLatona Weight Driven Mantle Clock. Original 8 in. paper dial with black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial, pierced blued hands; dial signed ÂWm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. Winsted, Conn.Â; brass 8 day weight driven movement signed Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co., has a half hour countwheel strike mechanism on a blued coiled gong, brass covered side weights with wood pulleys at the top, long drop pendulum has wood stick and brass covered bob. In a large walnut case with carved gallery top; good condition with an enhanced original finish, missing seconds hand. 31 in. high x 16 in. wide x 6.25 in. deep.

Gilbert No. 8 Regulator Hanging Clock: time only, weight driven movement with a 12″ porcelain dial, sweep second hand and a lyre pendulum with a 13″ ball.
(The small finials for the top are missing, the lowest piece of the backboard is missing. The very bottom at the lowest point is missing a finial and is a little different looking than that shown in the book. Brass finish on the pendulum ball is worn. The lower base has a repair and is now screwed to the main case for support.)
