Vintage Black Forest Carved Fox and Bird Mantel Clock: Battery operated with porcelain cartouche numerals. There are 3 birds a top a tree stump with an assortment of large leaves and a full figure fox at the bottom. (The original movement was removed from the clock and replaced with a battery operated one. The tail on the largest bird has been glued.) Has not been tested. Sells as is, where is. 26 1/2″ Tall

Figural Carved Black Forest Mantle Clock. Black forest case is carved with a game bird at the top and a game bird to the right, a fox has a snarling look on his face looking up at the birds and his body wrapped around the left side of the case, an allover filigree forest decoration in the carving; good original finish, one bird has a chip to its beak and a few other minor carving chips. 3 in. brass dial has relief decoration with porcelain hour insets with blue Roman numerals and gilt spade hands; French round brass spring driven movement has an hour count wheel strike on a bell, movement signed Japy Freres, not running. 16.5 in. high x 12 in. wide x 5 in. deep.
