Circa 1900 American Seth Thomas & Sons 18 Day Mantel Clock with 3.5″ Good original unsigned brass cartouche dial, Circular brass spring driven movement with bell strike with trademark, Very large Seth Thomas & Sons statue clock, bronze finish spelter female figure of mythological context. French Rebecca at the Well Clock: gold painted spelter with time and strike movement marked L. Grivolat Paris and numbered 993, and a 3 1/2″ porcelain dial.
(Dial is fractured, the back feet have been repaired and there is no front glass.)

Rebecca At The Well Inverted Swinger Clock

French Figural Rebecca At The Well Inverted Swinger Clock. Standing figure of Rebecca standing beside a stone well, at her feet a mirror resembles water with a border of lily pads, the standing figure wears a delicate robe which is blowing in the breeze, she leans slightly forward to look into the water with her left hand balanced against the stone well and her right hand holds up the pendulum which has a 2 tone gridiron shaft, the spherical bob has a champlevé bezel and the movement is contained within the bob; dial has applied brass Roman hour numerals and floral gilt hands, has its original green finish. The unusual brass spring driven movement is contained within the sphere, an internal counter weight on an X shaped suspension and attached to the crutch, which engages the escapement as the pendulum swings. Movement is singed and numbered L. Leroy & Cie. Paris, 22060; the statue is signed A. de Renieri (Aristide de Ranieri, 1880-1914, France). The white metal statue is in good condition with no breaks, damage, losses or repairs, has a good overall finish. 23.5 in. high x 16 in. wide x 11 in. deep.

Cast metal case with a figure of a whistling boy standing on top, he leans back with his hands in his pockets, has a square base with relief filigree design and leafy corner mounts; original 3 tone green, yellow & brown cold painted finish shows some chipping & wear from age. 4 in. porcelain dial signed ÂSeth ThomasÂ, has black hour numbers, 5 minute numbers outside, colorful floral and garland highlights, original pierced hands and hinged door bezel with beveled glass; round brass 8 day spring driven movement signed with Seth Thomas trade mark, has an half hour strike on a coiled gong, in good running condition. 21 in. high.
