Seth Thomas City Clock  Buffalo. 6 in. painted metal dial with silvered bezel, black Roman hour numerals and spade hands; brass, 8 day spring driven movement No. 5 7/8, signed – S. Thomas, Thomaston, Conn. U.S.A.  has fancy lyre shaped brass plates, count wheel half hour strike mechanism, coiled gong with silvered coiled mount and damascene silvered pendulum bob. Walnut case has a dark mahogany worn refinish with carved and arched center crest with spindled gallery, gilt incised door front and reverse silver decorated door glass. 20.5 in. high x 14 in. wide.

Ebonized case has a spindled gallery top and gilt highlights on the door; reverse gilt decorated door glass. In original finish, original Seth Thomas paper label in the bottom of the case, missing 2 spheres on the gallery. 19 in. high x 11 in. wide.
