A late 19th century Seth Thomas/Southern Calendar Clock Co. "Parlor Calendar No. 5" shelf clock. 8-day time and strike movement with lower calendar mechanism, painted metal dials. Movement with Seth Thomas marks on front plate and obscured "Made for the Southern Calendar Clock Co. St. Louis MO.". Walnut case with a molded octagon top over a single door and molded base. Refinished with extensive veneer loss, dial wear, lacks one knob on door, running when cataloged. 20" high. ESTIMATE $200-300
