Mahogany case with inlaid detail, Brass bezel and side arms, reverse painted throat and lower door glasses, carved drop with ball finals. American Weight Driven Banjo Clock. 8 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals and open moon hands; typical brass 8 day weight driven banjo clock movement with iron weight, steel pendulum rod and brass bob. Mahogany banjo case with turned teardrop finial, round door bezel with original glass, beveled throat and door frame with original reverse painted and gilt leaf glasses and scrolling wood side arms. Original finish, has repairs to the side arms, throat glass is cracked in the lower right corner and chip at the tip of the finial. 33 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

American Weight Driven Banjo Clock. Original 8 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals and black hands; typical brass weight driven time only 8 day movement has a steel pendulum rod and brass covered bob, brass pulley with lead weight. Mahogany banjo style case has brass door bezel with convex glass, pierced brass side arms, reverse painted throat glass and reverse painted lower tablet with Apollo scene; rope twisted carving around the lower door & throat frame and turned acorn finial on top. Gilt finish is worn from the finial, door & throat framework, throat is glued in place, lower tablet is an old replacement, dial has some flaking & paint loss with some inpainting, the case is refinished and the side arms are not attached. 31 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

A 19th century American Banjo wall clock. Weight driven time only movement with T Bridge suspension, case and finish original. Mahogany case with painted dial, tapered neck with eglomise panel and Brass arms above a lower door with eglomise “Aurora Scene”. Former Collection of Patrick Meanix, catalogued by Chipman Ela. In running order. Three older paper repairer’s labels inside dated 1871, 1900 and 1908. Case polished some wear, dial repainted by Burt Dial, replaced waist glass and lower glass stabilized by Tom Moberg, replaced finial. 33″ high.

Mahogany case with Brass bezel and side arms, painted dial, Eglomise panels in center panel and lower door with Gilded rope carved decoration. Old finish with wear and minor damage, some flaking on Eglomise panels, lacks finial. 30″ high.
