Given its construction, this particular clock is thought to have been sold as a kit, intended to be assembled at home by the owner. Winding key is included. This example retains its original maker’s tag from Baetz Bros Furniture. One would have to conclude that Baetz ordered tall case clock parts from Pequegnat and made the case. Oak case. This rare variant features a beveled glass front door flanked by Jacobean rope twist columns. Includes door key. Rear case tagged, “Baetz Bros Furniture Co.”. Rear movement movement plate signed, “Arthur Pequegnat Clock Co., Berlin, Ont”. 84″ x 22″ x 15″. Original finish. Mechanism complete with original weights, chains and pendulum.
