Mahogany Winterhalder & Hofmeier Bracket Clock. Carved mahogany case has a 4 sided domed top with roof having shingle style panels, turned corner finials, half spindle turned gallery border, figural maiden pilaster busts, beveled glass side panels and brass door with beveled glass front. Brass dial has a 5 in. silvered chapter ring with black incised Roman numerals, fancy pierced hands and gilt repousse corner spandrels; brass spring driven movement signed W&H Sch. (Winterhalder & Hofmeier) with brass pendulum and quarter hour strike on 2 coiled gongs. Movement winds, is running & striking, has crank; case has a an old overcoated finish, missing rear finials and the right carved figure has a repair. 19.5 in. high x 13 in. wide x 8 in. deep.
