Black phenolic case with hinged front door. Some wear, dial wear at winding arbor, running when cataloged. 7 1/2" diameter overall. ESTIMATE $200-300

Chelsea Ship’s Bell Mantle Clock. 6 in. silvered dial with black incised Arabic hour numbers, blued spade hands, singed Negus, New York – Chelsea Ships Bell. Quality spring driven movement with lever escapement in good running condition, balance wheel swings freely with nice brisk motion, rack and snail strike mechanism with Ships Bell strike on a coiled gong, movement signed and numbered Chelsea Clock Co. Boston, U.S.A. 252578. In a forged brass case with bronze finish, round top with hinged door bezel splayed base and stands on 4 spherical feet. 9 high x 8.5 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

Low, New York” & “Chelsea Ship’s Bell”. The case has an original chromed finish in very good condition, glass is loose. Movement is running, ship’s bell strike functions.
