French Bronze, Dore & Marble Clock Case: a full figured woman in a robe leans across the top and is reading a scroll. The case is red marble with bronze dore decoration.
(The space for the missing movement has been broken and repaired. Both corners on the left side have noticeable chips. Selling as a case only.)

Very nice French white marble mantel clock having column design and clad with gilt bronze throughout. Mechanical movement marked ‘MADE IN FRANCE’ and numbered 5 7 2132. Measures approx. 17″ height x 9″ width x 3 3/4″ depth (43.2cm x 22.8cm x 9.5cm). Total weight approx. 5.85 kilograms.

Dore Bronze Mantel Clock, Lady & Feather Pen: The Silk String ball striking movement is unmarked and has a silvered dial. A woman with long curls in her hair holds a feather pen and paper. There are other pages and an inkwell by her elbow. A band of fruit and acanthus leaves are across the lower front of the case. Both springs wind properly.
(The clock runs for a bit then quits. The bell shattered and a replacement has not been found.)
