A late 19th century German wall clock, with label "Brauswetter, Janos, Szeged" (Hungary). 8-day weight driven time and quarter hour Grand Sonnerie striking movement with engraved dial, Silvered chapter ring and Arabic numerals, matching engraved Brass dial center, pendulum and weights. Walnut case with applied Brass decoration features a shaped galleried crest and molded cornice above a long door with fluted pilasters, circular dial glass and rectangular lower over a shaped drop and lower edge. Refinished with wear and minor repair, added Brass embellishments, running when cataloged. 51 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $800-1,200

Carved Schubert Janos Budapest Clock, on the dial, walnut carved ladies heads on the door and crest with the original glass. 8 day, time and strike, 7″ porcelain dial with the original finials. Nice carvings with burl panels.
(Weight and pendulum have some small dents ant the lower tips are gone off of the right and left finials. The beat indicator needs to be replaced.)
