A mid 19th century J. C. Brown, Forestville, Conn., Ripple front, Four Column O. G. Gothic (Onion Top) shelf clock. 8-day Brass, spring driven time & strike movement with painted metal dial. Grain painted “Rosewood” Onion top case with applied Ripple moldings, four turned finials and columns and a single conforming door with etched lower glass. Old finish with some wear, repainted dial, running momentarily when cataloged. 19 1/2″ high.

A mid 19th century J.C. Brown Ripple Front shelf clock. 8-day time and strike movement with painted metal dial and Roman numerals, marked "J.C. Brown". "Onion Top" case with applied ripple moldings, four turned finials and columns, single door with circular upper panel and cut Ruby glass lower panel. Partial paper label inside back. Older refinishing with some wear, refinished dial with craquelure, running when cataloged. 19 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $800-1200
