HarrisonÂs Grasshopper Escapement Skeleton Clock. c. 1950-1960. Pierced gilt brass plates w/ 4 in. painted metal hour dial, 3 in. minute sub dial and 2.5 in. sub seconds dial at the top, brass spring driven movement with grasshopper escapement with 2 brass & silvered rocking barbells acting as the pendulums and swinging the escape levers. Has a mahogany base in original finish and good condition, standing on spherical brass feet and under a plexi glass dome. In good running condition, no breaks or visible repairs; unsigned. 17 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 10.5 in. deep.

Has a highly polished quality grained walnut & maple platform base with single drawer holding the key, square glass dome with gold trim, single door in the front. The single fusee movement has gold plated pierced plates, double baton pendulum arms on the front with levers engaging the escape-wheel behind the 3 in. porcelain seconds ring, 4 in. dia. porcelain time dial below with black Roman hour numerals and black hands; 5 in. porcelain 12 hour moon phase dial at the top with mounted porcelain full moon & crescent moon with stars. Clock is in beautiful condition. 18 in. high x 13.5 in. wide x 9.5 in. deep.

Pierced brass movement has a silk thread suspension with Brocot escapement, 2.5 in. porcelain chapter ring in the front with Roman hour numerals, open moon hands, sub dials for alarm & calendar; half hour rack & snail strike on a single bell in the base and alarm mechanism striking in the same bell. Mahogany base with glass dome top. 10 in. high x 8.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.
