Filigree engraved oval brass case has beveled and curved glass on the front, sides and rear door as well as on top of the case exposing the escapement; 2.25 in. diameter porcelain dial signed “??, Budapest” has 3 sub dials for the alarm and perpetual calendar with days and dates. Quality French brass spring driven movement with platform lever escapement, quarter hour grand sonnerie strike on 2 coiled gongs, quarter hour grand sonnerie repeater button on top of the case and separate spring for the alarm mechanism; under the bottom of the case is a switch to select Silent, Petite Sonnerie or Grand Sonnerie. In excellent working condition, has small chip on the corner edge of the front and rear glass. 6.25 in. high x 5 in. wide x 4.25 in. deep. Weight: 5 lbs.
