George Mitchell Empire Shelf Clock, Bristol, Conn., c. 1830s, half columns with pinapple finials, splat top, original hand painted dial with gold gilt, reverse painted table, claw feet. Wooden works, weight driven 30 hour clock, very nice label “Patent Clocks, Invented by Eli Terry and Manufactured for George Mitchell, Bristol, Conn.” Measures approx. 30″ tall x 17″ wide x 5 1/2″ deep.
