mid-18th century, the brass dial signed "George Lomax, London", with spandrels decorated with dolphins and scrollwork, the flat-top hood mounted with columns, the case set with a door with an oxbow crest, the whole walnut-veneered and line-inlaid, featuring a time-and-strike movement with calendar dial.

The twelve-inch brass dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman hours and Arabic minutes with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, surmounted by a moon phase aperture and calendar dial, above an engraved plate inscribed George Clark / London, the twin train movement striking on a bell.
