Bronze Sedan Chair Carriage Clock. Rare clock has an inset brass dial with black Roman hour numerals and blued hands, silvered and engraved border. Typical carriage clock movement has silvered lever & platform escapement with a good balance wheel, half hour strike on a coiled gong. Bronze case in the form of a sedan chair, 2 tone gilt and silvered finish with beveled glass on 3 sides, oval repousse panels with figural putti and a scrolled crest with fleur-de-lis finial. 11 in. high x 4.5 in. wide x 8 in. deep.
