A 19th century French cast brass mantel clock. Japy Freres, retailed by Raison & Thomas. Having a 3.5″ cellular Roman dial with foliate scroll centre, the two-train movement with Japy Freres exhibition stamp, numbered 1035, and stamped “ANC’NE M’ON FRANJUS RAISON & THOMAS SUCCESSEURS”, the case with cast pine cone finial over swan neck pediment and pierced waisted body with winged female terms and central figure raised on scroll feet, the sides with hinged leaf-cast supports, 16″, (40.5 cm) high.

Circa 1875 French Silver Medal trademark with olive branch 8 day Mantel Clock with 3.75″ Original convex enamel dial with minor hairlines, Spring driven brass movement with gong strike, Victorian Oriental motif brass table clock. Good condition, needs cleaning, associated movement lacking pendulum. Wood bottom of clock replaced. 14″H x 8″W x 8″D

Japy Freres French Brass Mantel Clock: The dial has porcelain, Roman numeral cartouche numbers; the works are marked Japy Freres, 2554 7 4; in an ornate brass case decorated with acanthus leaves, urns and fancy hands; with the pendulum.
