(British General Post Office) mark. Brass spring driven single fusee movement runs 2 opposite facing dials, has a recoil escapement with brass pendulum and beat adjustment at the top of the crutch, movement signed Elliott London with serial number 26212 and has General Post Office marks “51 EFW 55/1” indicating the clock is a model 51, by F.W. Elliott, 1955. In very good clean and running condition. The mahogany case has an octagonal form with brass door bezels and glasses on the front and back and hangs in a mahogany wall hanging bracket, the case is also stamped with matching “51 EFW 55/1” marks. 25 in. high x 18 in. wide x 8 in. deep.
