E. Howard & Co. S. Willard Patent Banjo Clock: With a weight driven TO movement; a marked “Howard” dial; in a gilt and mahogany case with a gilt gesso eagle finial, the weight and pendulum. The lower door is marked “S. Willard’s Patent”.

S. WillardÂs Patent Banjo Wall Clock. 7 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals, fancy blued pierced hands; typical brass 8 day time only weight driven banjo type movement, has a lead weight, brass pulley, steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob and brass lockdown hardware with T-bridge suspension. In a mahogany case with turned gilt acorn finial, brass door bezel with pierced brass side arms, marquetry inlaid borders in the throat and lower door; reverse painted & gold leaf original throat glass and lower tablet which reads ÂS. WillardÂs PatentÂ. In good condition with an original finish, some minor inpainting in the tablet. 32.75 in. high.
