An early 20th century E. Howard & Co. Boston No. 70 Regulator wall clock. 8-day time only weight driven movement marked “E. Howard & Co, Boston, 70″ with 12 1/2” painted iron dial marked “E. Howard & Co. Boston”, weight with cast “70” designation. Mahogany case with round upper and squared lower doors. Good original finish with minor wear, dial touched up at winding hole, touch up to paint on lower door, running when cataloged. 32″ high.

E. Howard Oak Long Drop Regulator. 12 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, large spade hands and signed E. Howard & Co. Boston; 8 day weight driven time only No. 5 movement has steel plates, signed in script ÂE. Howard & Co. Boston, 5Â, has long wood pendulum stick with brass bob covered lock down hardware on the weight baffle and large No. 70 iron weight, pendulum stick is repaired. In an oak long drop case with hinged door bezel and long reverse painted tablet with black background, red panel and gilt border, black is overpainted, paper label in the bottom of the case and missing upper door glass, has a beautiful clean original finish. 36 in. high x 15.5 in. wide.

Boston; has recoil escapement, damascened brass pendulum bob with wood stick, black painted weight baffle, lockdown hardware and iron No. 70 weight. Square, drop form case with floral carved spandrels and collar, turned finials, beaded frieze and original reverse painted tablet having minor black inpainting. Original finish with overcoat. 34″ H. x 15″ W. x 5.5″ D.

Howard & Co., BostonÂ, has large blued spade hands and black Roman hour numerals; brass weight driven time only movement No. 5 signed ÂE. Howard & Co., Boston with silvered plates, has a long ebonized wood pendulum stick with a brass covered bob, brass lockdown hardware in the wood weight baffle (replaced) and good iron No. 11 weight with brass pulley. In an oak case with hinged wood door bezel and original reverse painted lower tablet having red & black paint with gold leaf highlights and open aperture exposing the pendulum bob. In very good condition, case has an enhanced original finish with no breaks or repairs, original glass in good condition with no touchup or inpainting. 42 in. high x 20.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.
