Antique Aaron Willard Boston Shelf Clock, 7" signed painted metal dial, Aaron Willard signed bottom, 8 day time only weight driven brass movement , Mahogany case, slight cracking and chipping veneer, with fancy carved ornaments with brass finials on top, flaring French feet, 37 1/2"x 13 1/2" beautiful, very old clock, good condition **This clock is FOB which means shipping is ENTIRELY the buyer's resposibility. Signed Aaron Willard Jr. Lyre Banjo Clock. Original 7 in. painted iron dial signed ÂAaron Willard Jr., Boston and numbered ÂNo. 648Â, has black Roman hour numerals and good pierced hands; quality brass weight driven movement with half hour rack & snail strike on a bell at the top of the movement, has a long steel pendulum rod hanging from a t-bridge suspension with brass covered bob and 2 lead weights with brass pulleys. In a beautiful carved mahogany lyre shaped case with gilt turned wood finial, hinged brass door bezel, pierced filigree carved frame work in the throat with original reverse painted throat glass, lower door with mirrored tablet and fluted carved lower bracket with a teardrop acorn finial. Case has an enhanced original finish, some paint flaking and inpainting on the tablet, original mirror, some gold flaking to the finial, in beautiful condition. 40 in. high x 12 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

1820s Aaron Willard Presentation Banjo Clock

Missing minute hand. Wants to run for a bit then stops. Selling as non-working. The bottom glass shows a naval battle between Constitution and Guerriere, with various officer's names involved painted within the scroll border. The bottom clock glass does have some paint lifting, yet remains in very good condition. The bottom glass pictures a dueling ship scene with lots of gold work. The throat glass is signed "WILLARD'S PATENT" and features gold and red fancy scroll work using some of the colors shown within the bottom glass. The original gilt wood work is in excellent condition throughout, with age appropriate wear. Some of the balls have very small amounts of gesso and gilt that has flaked off.

ca. 1825, Boston, Massachusetts, the mahogany case set with giltwood doors and brackets, mounted with pierced brass side arms, the eglomise throat tablet decorated with scrollwork, the lower tablet decorated with the USS Constitution, with a giltwood eagle finial, the painted dial signed "Aaron Willard, Boston".
