Chelsea U.S. Maritime Commission Ships Bell Clock. 5.5 in. black painted metal dial signed ÂChelsea Ships Bell, U.S. Maritime Commission, Ser. No. 2801Â, with incised white hour numbers and glow in the dark hour markers (9 of 12 missing), brass spade and pointer hands; quality brass spring driven movement with lever escapement, rack & snail ships bell strike mechanism on a blued coiled gong, movement signed ÂChelsea Clock Co. Boston, U.S.A., 314050Â. In a forged brass tub with threaded flanged bezel and a lacquered finish, matching number on the back of the case Â314050; case has some surface tarnish and spotting, in good working condition. 7.5 in. dia. x 3.5 in. deep.

Chelsea Helm Ships Bell Clock. 5 in. silvered dial signed ÂChelsea, ShipÂs Bell with black incised hour numbers and blued open moon hands; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂChelsea Clock Co., Boston, USA and numbered 308289, has a lever escapement with balance wheel and a shipÂs bell strike on a coiled gong. In a brass ships wheel case with hinged door bezel, splayed base, 2 tone finish and mahogany back and bottom with matching number. In running condition, base is engraved ÂTo Our Chief And Colleague, Francis L. Lederer, Mc-V S-USNR, as a token of our Esteem, July 1942Â. 17 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

Chelsea Spring Driven Ships Bell Banjo Clock. 5.5 in. painted metal dial signed ÂChelseaÂ, has incised black hour numbers; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂChelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A.Â, numbered 771053, has a lever escapement, rack & snail shipÂs bell strike on a coiled gong. In a mahogany banjo style case with gilt brass eagle finial, brass door bezel, pierced brass side arms, presentation lower bracket with fluted carving, turned spherical mounts and acorn teardrop finial; reverse painted throat glass with gilt eagle, shield & filigree, reverse painted tablet with battle scene depicting the U.S.S. Constitution and the HMS Guerriere in the battle of 1812. In good condition, holes in dial & back plate do not all line up, has Chelsea instruction booklet and presentation plaque inside of the case to ÂJohn G. Stewart, 1950-1970, for a job well done, our deepest appreciation, W.W.E.M.A.Â. 32 in. high x 8 in. wide x 3 in. deep.
