Chauncey Jerome Mahogany Flat Front Mantle Clock. Painted wood dial has a 7 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and black painted hands; brass weight driven movement, count wheel hour strike mechanism, iron weights and brass covered pendulum bob. Mahogany case has nice crotched veneer and reverse painted tablet in the door showing  Merchants Exchange, Philadelphia  glass is original with original paint, no inpainting, has some flaking; original finish and good condition. 25 in. high x 17 in. wide.

Painted wood dial has an 8 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals, open center exposes the escapement, pierced black hands (repaired minute hand); brass weight driven movement, signed  Chauncey Jerome, New Haven, Conn. U.S.A., count wheel strike mechanism with coiled gong, brass covered pendulum bob, iron weights & wood pulleys in the top. Mahogany case has a chamfered cornice, grain painted half columns, reverse frosted tablet and lower door glass; Chauncey Jerome paper label in the back of the case. 27 in. high x 16 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Jerome, New Haven, CT. Brass time only spring driven movement, repousse filigree brass covered pendulum bob; movement is inverted with long drop pendulum hanging from the top with crutch pointing upwards and escapement at the bottom of the movement, signed ÂChauncey Jerome, New Haven, ConnÂ. In a mahogany case with dark alligatored finish, original reverse painted door glass having some minor inpainting and overall white paint spatters. 12 in. high.
