Chauncey Ives Pillar & Scroll Clock. Painted wood dial has a faded 10 in. chapter ring with black Arabic hour numbers and gilt spandrels, fancy black pierced hands; wooden works movement has count wheel strike mechanism, iron weights with wood pulleys, iron bell & brass covered pendulum bob. In a mahogany pillar & scroll case, has a broken arch crest, heavy brass finials, turned side columns and valanced feet; original reverse painted lower tablet; minor loss to apron, crack in dial glass. 31 in. high x 16.5 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

Chauncey Ives Pillar & Scroll Clock: wood, weight driven movement with bell strike, 10 1/2″ wood dial and good interior label. In a mahogany and veneer case with one missing wood finial. With weights, pendulum and key.
(Cracked upper glass and original, but worn lower glass. The dial has some lost and crazed paint. The veneer on the splat is stressed and has lines in it. The wood finish is original and also has a stressed look.)
30″T and running at this time.

Pillar & Scroll Shelf Clock, Circa 1825, 12″ excellent hand painted dial, 30-hour, wood works movement, retains most original glue blocks on case, label reads “Patent clocks made & sold by Seth Thomas warranted if well used  “, with minor repairs this would be a very nice pillar & scroll clock, refinished repair to original top, lower tablet redone on old glass, good original base. Height 30 1/2”.
