Charles Gauthier Mahogany Clock Platform. Mahogany platform base with brass beaded trim, gilt brass mounts and feet with an original dark red-brown finish. The front has a 2.25 in. porcelain dial signed ÂCh. Gauthier, Paris & Berdeaux with fancy pierced gilt hands and a gilt brass door bezel with beveled crystal; small round brass spring driven movement with cylinder escapement is unsigned, in running condition, has key. 3.75 in. high x 14 in. wide x 7 in. deep.

Charles Stratton Shelf Clock w/Wood Works: weight driven in a mahogany veneer case with a good interior label, bearing the date 1839. Stratton was from Holden, Mass. The painted glass looks to be of the proper age, but is now held in with small nails.
(The case has a couple of small exterior problems. The back board has numerous added holes. The movement does not run steadily. The dial’s numbers have been repainted.)
