Bloomer & Sperry Portico Rosewood and Mahogany Pillar Clock, 1945-1846, New York. 4 column clock, hand painted dial with raised gilt, reverse painted lower tablet, 30 hour weight driven early brass movement. Nice label “Phoenix Manufacturing, No. 40 Gold Street, New York. Bloomer & Sperry, Manufacturers of Rosewood and Mahogany Pillar Clocks for the Foreign and Domestic Market”. Bloomer and Sperry sold clocks out of New York for just two years. Measures approx. 25″ tall x 16″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep.

A late 19th century Bloomer & Sperry “Phoenix Manufactory” four column shelf clock. 30 hr time & strike, weight driven brass movement with painted metal dial. Mahogany case with Ebonized detail, single door flanked by two turned columns on either side, single door with clear upper and reverse painted lower glass panels. Old finish with wear and minor damage, some veneer loss, flakes in dial. 25 3/4″ high.

Sperry & Shaw Pillar & Scroll Shelf Clock: mahogany case with brass; weight driven with a repainted 7 1/2″ dial. There is a good interior label and both glass panes are original.
(The strike does not activate. The dial is chipped away at the top, where the 2 steel pins hold it in place.)
