Riley Whiting Pillar and Scroll Shelf Clock, Winchester, Connecticut, 1825, mahogany scroll-top case with three brass urn finials, painted wooden dial with raised gilt, reverse-painted tablet, nice label “Modern Improved Clocks made and sold by Riley Whiting, Winchester, Conn.”, thirty-hour wooden works, weight driven, measures approx. 31 1/2″ tall x 17″ wide x 4 1/4″ deep.

Riley Whiting Column and Splat Shelf Clock, Winchester, Connecticut, early 1800’s mahogany case with half columns, stenciled columns and splat. Fruit and flowers on splat, claw feet, pinapple carved finials, hand painted dial. Beautiful label, “Modern Improved Clocks Made and Sold by Riley Whiting, Winchester, Conn.”, wooden works, weight driven, reverse painted glass tablet (has crack). Measures approx. 30″ tall x 17″ wide x 5 1/2″ deep.

Riley Whiting/Wm. Whiting 30 Hour Wood Works Shelf Clock: mahogany case with stenciled half columns and splat. Two carved pineapple finials on the top sides. Time and bell striking, weight driven.
(The lower mirror is a replacement, the wood dial looks original with some crazing. The upper glass plate is cracked in the upper right corner.)
