Ansonia Cast Metal Mantle Clock. Gilt cast metal case has French Rococo filigree design with inset painted porcelain panel with a woman seated by a pond and a winged cherub whispering in her ear. 3 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, signed with Ansonia Trade Mark, has a brass, spring driven movement signed ÂAnsonia Clock Co., New York, USAÂ. In good condition with no breaks or repairs. 14.25 in. high x 8 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Ansonia “Watteau” Metal Mantle Clock: 8 day time with half hour gong strike and 3 1/2″ dial. The door glass is heavy beveled and has a ring of paste brilliants around it. In a copper finished case with painted porcelain insert. Depicted is a woman painting a vase with flowers in it.
(The dial has a hairline on the left side. The strike has a clunky “tinny” sound.)
