A late 19th century Ansonia "Triumph" model shelf clock. 8-day time, strike and alarm movement with a painted metal dial and Roman numerals. Carved Walnut case with shaped crest, applied Liberty Mask and turned finials over a single arched door with stenciled glass, flanked by mirrored sides with cast Cherub figures, on a rounded molded base with applied metal decoration. Paper label 50% intact. Old finish with wear, some shrinkage, dial wear and discoloration, running when cataloged. 24" high. ESTIMATE $200-300

Ansonia “Triumph” Parlor Clock. T&S, signed dial, has pendulum, bell strike, stenciled door glass, mirrored sides & winged statues. Walnut shelf clock set with gilt metal figures, 20th century, playful gilded cherubs frame either side of the case, mirrored paneling, an architectural sentiment is present in the carving of the case, golden toned painting to glass plays upon the brass dial, Roman numerals, chimes on the half and hour, operating, in the style of the Ansonia “Triumph”, reproduction, 24″h, 16.25″w, 5.5″d, 10.25lbs

Ansonia Mantle Clock – Triumph. 6 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals & open spade hands; brass, 8 day, spring driven movement signed  Sessions Clock Co. Forestville, Conn.  has half hour count wheel strike mechanism, blued coiled gong with gilt iron mount and brass pendulum bob with beat adjustment indicator. In a walnut case having an arched top, scroll carved crest with central maidens head, turned finials over teardrop finials, angled mirrors on the sides with gilt figural winged putti; reverse painted door glass, in good condition, refinished. 24 in. high x 17 in. wide x 5 in. deep.
