Ansonia French Green Onyx Mantel Clock: faux mercury pendulum; has key; Ansonia marked porcelain dial with visible movement; beveled glass in front.
(The onyx back of the clock has been broken and glued; needs reattached to clock; several small areas of chipping to the case.)

A late 19th century French Slate mantel clock by S. Marti, Paris, retailed by "A. Mesnard, 14 Place Dauphine, Bordeaux". 8-day time and strike movement with polished Slate dial, cast center medallion and Gold Roman numerals. Black Slate case with molded top and base, circular Brass dial door with beveled glass, cast mask side handles and carved foliate decoration with Gilded/Silvered detail. Minor wear, chip in dial glass, movement quite dirty, running momentarily when cataloged. 14 1/4" high. ESTIMATE $300-500

Green Onyx & Bronze French Mantel Clock: With No. 4490 on the gong striking movement and a fancy fretwork cover on the dial. The case is light green with veins of caramel color and added bronze adornment.
The clock will run and strike at this time.
(The pendulum may not be right to keep the clock going steadily. There has been a bit of a vein separation with one piece of the back of the top being puttied into place.)

An early 20th century green onyx mantel clock. Hamburg American Clock Co., having a 4″ white-enamelled Arabic dial, the recessed centre with partially visible Brocot escapement, the two-train movement, with crossed arrows stamp, half hour-striking on a coiled gong, the architectural case with shaped pediment and flambeau finials over female trumpeter mounts between columns on a breakfront base, 12.75″, (32.5cm) high.
